We worked with the 12th Edition of the Troféu Raça Negra gala in São Paulo, Brazil, which included a tribute to honor the memory of Nelson Mandela. This gala was the capstone event that ended a week-long educational conference and cultural tour dedicated to Brazilian Black Awareness Week. Path of Duty is a documentary series that honors the legacy of forgotten African American men who graduated from Colgate University during the late 18th and early 19th century. These men influenced civil rights, social activism, academics, ministry and leadership during their era and their impact can still be felt today.

Each episode of Path of Duty depicts the life of an African American man who attended Colgate University and forged a path of purpose through sacrifice, activism, faith and leadership. Viewers will learn about the contributions of Samuel H. Archer, Everett Booker Jones, H.L. Simpson, Joseph Jones, David Vassar and others through narration, on-camera interviews, photographs, and stock footage. Path of Duty also captures the stories of recent graduates and current students of color at Colgate to explore how race, activism and social media has shaped their path of purpose in the 21st century.
